No Holidays in Spain!

December 26, 2007

I was lucky to get away from Basketball for at least four days. It did get on my nerves a little bit to be honest – well, Basketball here in Italy. I was rather talking to friends from back home, thinking about writing a post with an iPhone .. things like that – as you can see not very thoughtful things.

Just a few hours ago I started to get back to “work” by surfing the web and I found out that there are no basketball holidays in Spain.

Tau Ceramica is about to sign Nigerian center Gabe Muoneke (former Houston Rockets player) for a three-months deal to to compensate injured James Singleton. Singleton already signed with Tau for next year so Gabe already has no future with Tau. I guess he will try to make everybody know him to get a new contract next year with another Euroleague team – if he really signs of course.

Tau Ceramica’s Spanish rival Unicaja Malaga did sign another player: NBA champion Melvin Sanders, who won his NBA title with the Spurs last year – well at least this is what his resume will say – I am sure it also will say the he did average 4 points with the Spurs last season – but at least he is a player I know – I met him at the NBA Finals in Cleveland this past summer and really did not know who he was until he somehow asked me what I was doing in the Spurs locker room – funny story..

So I guess I am also back from my holidays – nice to be back on BallinEurope!
