Podcast: Team Ireland coach Pete Strickland

January 24, 2017

BallinEurope kicks off Irish Cup final week with a new episode of the The Creatively Titled Basketball Show as we meet the new man leading Ireland’s ballers into international action.

Pete Strickland was named as the new head coach of the Irish men’s basketball team just before the holidays and he spoke with BiE about the role ahead for him. Strickland speaks about reaching out to Irish Americans such as Mike Hall and Donnie McGrath in Europe and young Irish players competing at NCAA level like John Carroll and Jordan Blount, the need for youth development, the role of assistants, and plans for this summer and 2018 in the role.
