Welcome (finally) to Europe, Allen Iverson!

October 25, 2010

So goes another Fearless Prediction™ (probably), though in this case BallinEurope couldn’t be happier about being wrong.

Yahoo! Sports is reporting this morning that Allen Iverson has indeed agreed in principle to sign with Turkish Eurocup team Besiktas Cola Turka; the deal is reportedly worth a max $4 million over two seasons.

As of this writing, neither the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) nor Besiktas has made an official announcement. BiE would like to wish A.I. a warm welcome to The Continent! Here’s hoping everything works out for the man.

(And can BiE change that prediction on the Eurocup finalists?)

Don’t you think it should be noted that it’s $4 million net, as in taxes and agents fees are paid by the club. It’s totally deceiving to NBA fans who read it as $4 million NBA salary, when it’s more like $8 million NBA salary.
