Rumor: Ginobili and Splitter to be united … in Spain?

March 24, 2010

Okay, San Antonio Spurs, BallinEurope has good news and bad news for you, and the good news ain’t too good, so you’d better be sitting.

As it turns out, the much-awaited Tiago Splitter may in fact be playing on the same team as Manu Ginobili for the 2010-11 season. The bad news is that the team in question plays home games quite a bit further east of Texas as is called “Real Madrid.”

In what might become “The Twitter Read ‘Round the World (or At Least in Texas and Spain),” Spanish sportswriter/sports radio personality Ramón Trecet tweeted:

Ginobili al Madrid 10/11. Rumor ayer en Vistalegre, Messina ya fue entrenador suyo en la Virtus de Bolonia.

BiE can’t claim to be fluent in Español de Twitter, but basically Trecet is tweeting a rumor of yesterday that Madrid is interested in the Spur and reminds that Real’s coaching mastermind Ettore Messina was Ginobili’s coach when the Argentine last played in Europe for Virtus Bologna.

Coupled with the rumors reported in Spain-based media last month that Messina and Madrid are *quite* interested in Mr. Splitter, plus tripled up with the fact that Real must somehow compete with the monster known as FC Barcelona in ACB ball and the Euroleague in 2010-11, makes the Ginobili rumor all the more scintillating…

This, methinks, will definitely be a rumor to follow.

Sweating yet, Spurs fans?

Rigadeau, Smodis and David Andersen already say “YES, WE COME” (for free) ready to rebuild Virtus Bologna 00/01 in Madrid next year…

Latest problem to solve: will Messina be able to ask his president an extra effort to add huge amount of money to overcome actual Rashard Griffith salary in CSU ASESOFT PLOIESTI (Romania)??

If the answer will be “YES” ….well, the deal is done!!

    …oh… c’mon…

Too late to rebuild Virtus 00/01.
