SportingBet lines and odds for Euroleague week five matchups

November 26, 2009

Whoa, nice slate of games tonight in Euroleague basketball, headlined by the match The Euroleague Boss has said “promises to be an instant classic”: Montepaschi Siena vs. FC Barcelona. Judging by the wisdom of the sportsbook, the Baskonia-Moscow game should be worth watching, too.

Pointspreads and over/under lines for tonight’s games, as provided by Euroleague/Ball in Europe sponsor Sporting Bet follow the break.

Efes Pilsen vs. Entente Orleanaise
Handicap: Efes Pilsen, minus 17
Over/under: 152.5

Maccabi Tel Aviv vs. Maroussi
Handicap: Maccabi, minus 15
Over/under: 158.5

Montepaschi Siena vs. FC Barcelona
Handicap: Montepaschi Siena, minus 1
Over/under: 149.5

Baskonia vs. CSKA Moscow
Handicap: Baskonia, minus 5
Over/under: 149.5

Unicaja vs. Lietuvos Rytas
Handicap: Unicaja, minus 8
Over/under: 148.5

Partizan vs. Olympiacos
Handicap: Partizan, plus 7
Over/under: 152.5

Real Madrid vs. AJ Milano
Handicap: Real Madrid, minus 14
Over/under: 151.5

Anything tempting here? Of course! The line of 149.5 seems low for the MPS-FCB game, especially since at one-point favorites, the bookmakers reckon the field-goal-a-minute offense of Montepaschi – they’re averaging 84 points per game – will be the winning factor; i like the over in a shootout.

Meanwhile, you’ve got a Maccabi team at full strength looking to potentially take control of Group C with a win against the battered ‘n’ bruised Maroussi? I’d take Maccabi minus 20, never mind 15.

These ruminations, of course, given this punter’s “success” this season, mean that you should clearly take the under in Montepaschi-Barcelona and Maroussi plus the points…

Sporting Bet is offering a bunch of other lines and odds on these games and leagues ‘round Europe. Click on either the logos or banner at right for more information. Good luck, all!
