*The* proverbial nasty dunk. No, really.

April 7, 2010

Like the title advertises, this is one YouTube that will illicit laughter and sympathy from its viewers in far less than its 44 seconds. Folks from an outfit called SportPost.com this morning put up an amazing little YouTube clip cleverly entitled, “European basketball Player Uses Opponent’s Groin as Launch Pad for Cool Dunk.”

Unfortunately for those who appreciate both great video and great sporting moments, the pretty funny Sport Post doesn’t include any specifics beyond the Spartan video description, “Cool way to get some extra air for a dunk. [Player] manages to kick his opponent in the n*** and dunk in his face.” So please allow BallinEurope to give a little credit where credit is due, particularly when giving up the, um, body might be concerned.

The match in question would appear to be a Legadue game between Carmatic Pistoia and Bialetti Scafati; the badass who knows how to apply leverage is Tony Skinn, formerly a four-year man at George Mason University in the mid-2000s.

The identity of the victim in the world’s nastiest dunk – He Who Is Posterized – is well obscured, even through approximately 157 viewings, and so for now he’ll have to remain unknown (Is it Giovanni Fattori, maybe?) Perhaps, however, that’s for the best, because the guy Skinn uses brings a whole new dimension to the concept of “That had to hurt!”

Nastiness after the break.
