BallinEurope's Euroleague Transfers Table for 2012-13 now up

June 26, 2012

Finally, BallinEurope may emerge from the basement after tinkering away for days on the Euroleague Transfers Table for 2012-13. Please click on the previous link or on the tab at the top of any single BiE webpage to see the list — and feel free to float any news rumors you hear (not to mention to correct any mistakes) while BiE starts trolling around for rumors, i.e. stalks Twitter…

Enjoy and happy Euroleague offseason!

    Spanoulis/Law/Katsivelis
    Mantzaris/Sloukas/Gecevicius
    Perperoglou/Papanikolaou
    Antic/Printezis
    Dorsey/Hines/Mavroeidis

Supposedly they are also going after Skordilis and Kasekis.

I think it is hard to say how the roster compares to last year. Perperoglou is a better overall player than Keselj for sure. But keselj was a perfect fit in the offense with Spanoulis, as he spread the floor so well. He also helped the defense a lot with his great length.

Keselj was a better fit, but Perperoglou certainly is a better all around player though.

Mavroeidis is a big upgrade I think over the Papadopoulos and Glyniadakis combination. Kaselakis isn’t as good as Pelekanos.

Bartzokas is a very good coach, but of course isn’t Ivkovic. Overall, maybe this year’s team is a little bit weaker than last year’s team. But as of right now, for me it is clearly the best team of Euroleague. CSKA looks much worse than last year. PAO looks a bit weaker, Barca looks weaker, Siena looks much weaker.

Real and Milano look a bit better, but not as strong as Olympiacos. Efes and Fener looks better, but I still like Olympiacos roster better.

Macabbi, Vitoria, Khimky, teams like this just look on a lower level from Olympiacos. Zalgiris, etc.

Olympiacos definitely looks like the best team. I actually think they have the best chance to do the first repeat since Maccabi did it back when the competition was much lower. I think this Olympiacos can do the repeat and get the Triple.

If Spanoulis keeps playing like he did at the Olympics qualifiers, then actually I think they will even win Euroleague rather easily.
