Tweets Matt Walsh: “Happy to be staying in Murcia!”

December 6, 2011

From the Gotta Love Twitter Department, news about the Liga Endesa’s UCAM Murcia. Tweeted Matt Walsh just past noon today: “Officially signing for another month with an option for rest of the season!!! Happy to be staying in Murcia!!”

The well-traveled Walsh was apparently convinced to stay in Spain – the eighth country in which he’s played pro ball – fairly quickly; his initial contract was signed on November 22. In two games with Murcia, Walsh has scored 15 points and seven assists in 23 total minutes of playing time.

It says here the team will need any lift they can get from the veteran: At 3-7 in Liga Endesa play, Murcia is tied for 13th on the table and just one game up on current relegation-zone teams Lagun Aro GBC and Blancos Rueda Vallolid.
