Lesser spotted dunks: Preston Ross makes the big jam against DCU Saints

February 17, 2015

We heard about this dunk on Twitter but it took a few days for it to surface online, check out Preston Ross nailing the huge one-handed jam for UCD Marian in their 89-80 win over DCU Saints in the Irish league.

Ross is averaging 20.7 points per game 6.7 rebounds per game in his first pro season. As it stand, Ross and his Marian side are hanging on to the final playoff spot but they need to record a win at unbeaten UCC Demons this Sunday to keep ahead of the chasing pack and hold off Templeogue or Neptune for the final spot. Just to add a touch more pressure to the underdogs, Demons will claim the title if they win that home game.

One other insane stat line to note, for which we sadly don’t have video, from that round in the Irish league. Michael Goj of Swords Thunder had 34 rebounds and 17 assists for Swords Thunder against UL Eagles on Sunday. Unsurprisingly, Swords won that game big 78-65.
