Napoleon Dynamite’s fantasy team is better than yours

October 21, 2010

Jake Stephens, he of “Napoleon Dynamite” fame stars in certainly the best and funniest fantasy basketball ad campaign ever. ESPN’s fantasy basketball ads feature Stephens (who apparently has some serious access to much-wanted mobile phone numbers) exhorting his charges to, you know, win one for the fantasy team.

Somehow, Stephens managed to score Kevin Durant, Amar’e Stoudamire, Kobe Bryant and possibly Derrick “He Who Needs a Cool Nickname, According to Stephens” Rose. In any case, below are a couple of hilarious examples from the campaign; first Stephens harasses the toast of the 2010 FIBA Championships, then suggests Stoudamire put more “pow!” into his game as he gets, like, three feet of air on the attempted jam.

I’m just glad this guy’s not in the Euroleague fantasy game…
